Not all fashion shows start at nine in the morning, and not all include buffet tables of Cinnabons and Top Pot doughnuts, but the one at the Bellevue Collection this past Saturday, April 27 did.

The runway presentation, held in the middle of the shopping center before it was officially open for the day, covered all of the bases for this season including bright brights, island wear for that much anticipated summer vacay, leather looks, exotic digital prints, sheer accents, and the season's reigning champ: black and white graphic patterns. 

Sephora and 7 Salon were also in the mix, and not just on the runway. In the event that you had skipped doing your face for the early start time, you could have had a complimentary hair consultation and a minute makeover, complete with this season’s trendy ruby red lip color.

But back to the outfits.

An easy-to-wear, Mary Katrantzou-esque shift from JC Penny (!) was a stand-out favorite—especially at $39. Turns out it was from the department store's newest shop-in-shop collab with the Canadian line Joe Fresh, sold not just in JCP but in grocery stores up north, hence the name. You want a carton of eggs with thaose leggings?

Side note: If the name Joe Fresh sounds familiar, it may be that you heard it linked to the garment factory tragedies in Bangladesh, which sure sheds light on that $39 price tag.
