WHAT: One of Seattle’s favorite antique malls hosts a fashion and jewelry auction with big name lots up for grabs.

A note to bargain hunters: this isn’t necessarily the sale for you. While we wouldn’t rule out a few surprises here and there, we also wouldn’t want you to show up with a five-spot burning a hole in your pocket only to find that the Chanel cruise collection pant suit is tagged a bit more ambitiously.

On the other hand, this kind of thing can be pretty wonderful theater. Just strolling through and checking out the goods is a good time; you don’t necessarily have to be in the market for Ferragamo pumps to enjoy someone else being in the market for them.
