Slideshow: New Canopy Blue

Check out the new store—just as easy-going, bright, and jeweled as the original.

If you haven’t been to Canopy Blue between Madison Park and Madison Valley lately, well, you just haven’t been to Canopy Blue.

Which isn’t to say the beachy, boho women’s boutique has changed since original owner Kieran Malone handed it over to Dani Ackerley, a fellow mom and Madison resident whose background and current community-oriented scope include Nordstrom corporate, Seattle Arts Museum Supports, Pacific Northwest Ballet Board of Trustees, and Friends of Madison Park.

The vibe is the same in all the best ways; store manager Tess Redinger describes it as St. Barts breezy, but there’s a healthy dose of West Coast prep on the racks, too. Think Diane von Furstenberg tops over barely there bikini bottoms with some Tory Burch sandals and an arm of jeweled bracelets. Or, a kaftan-inspired tunic with cobalt blue skinny jeans.

Why not see for yourself? The slideshow here puts you inside the shop, and you’re also invited to stop in this weekend, Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, as Ackerley, Redinger, and their friends and neighbors celebrate the relaunch with a store-wide 15 percent off, pastries, candies, Champagne, and trunk show-like offerings of Juliet Roger’s locally made jewelry and French Fifty, a bikini line designed by Seattle native Charlotte Pruitt.
