What: My favorite local wedding makeup gal told me recently that most of the brides-to-be that come to her are without a regular cleansing routine. (Insert a chorus of gasps.) That tidbit stuck in my head, and upon hearing the news that skin guru Kate Somerville would be cruising through Bellevue Square and imparting her glowing wisdom, I thought, “those skin–care newbies facing a walk down the aisle oughtta be there.”

So there you go. Or I hope you will.

While this event is certainly not for brides–to–be only, it’s a great opportunity to learn about a promising and buzzed–about product line and skin care icon. Somerville goes soup–to–nuts when it comes to skin care; she talks about diet, treatments, ingredients with impact, what to do, and what not to do in her book Complexion Perfection! Your Ultimate Guide to Beautiful Skin. Her line covers you with self–tanners, sun damage reversers, hydrating treatments, and more. I’ve only recently began my journey back from the land of going to sleep with my makeup on, and I can tell you that I really appreciate the Somerville experience.
