SugarPill Apothecary Wellness Salons

Seattle astrology cooks up a season of health and wellness at Capitol Hill’s feel-good/look-good shop.

Stephanie Gailing can read your stars.

Where: SugarPill Apothecary

What: If Seattle had a celebrity astrologer, it would be Stephanie Gailing.

Known and beloved to several key folks in the style, design, and retail community (remember when Kimberly Baker hosted her at her shop?), Gailing’s a star reader who places emphasis on wellness and health. Her book, Planetary Apothecary, outlines yoga poses and flower essences for each sign; it’s a hit on photo shoots, backyard girl parties, and other events where five or more aesthetically minded people are gathered. I know because I’ve had it along on more than one such occasion.

Gailing partnered with Cap Hill’s best looking alt-pharmacy for a series of astrology talks and product recommendations; she discusses major planetary alignments and then shares self-care regimens based on the stars, their pathways, and the popular concoctions of SugarPill’s master herbalist Karyn Schwartz.

When: Wellness Salons go down on the third Thursday of each month. The next one, for the Scorpio season, is Thursday, October 20 from 6:30 to 8:30. Cost is $35; 206-322-7455 or email well @ sugarpillseattle.com with questions or to reserve a spot. Gailing says "products associated with each month’s energetics are available for sale at SugarPill throughout the month." Look for special teas, bath salts, and more.
