The two of you are looking cocktail-party cool, feeling can’t-wait-for-the-big-day fine, and it seems like everyone in the room is too. Like they really can’t wait for your big day.

You stroll the silent auction items and notice a practically bid-free page corresponding to a vendor whose services you’ve talked about adding to your wedding-day affairs. The three of you start chatting, and while your sig other steps away to say hi to a friend, you quickly jot down your auction number and politely say goodbye, knowing luck and karma are always on your side where sweet surprises are involved.

More champagne, more great bites, followed by great sweet bites, more socializing, more opportune moments and serendipitous crossing of paths.

During the live auction, you score the very photographer you had on your dream team list from the get-go, and you get seduced by an extra or two, because the deal was so good, and because the extra-double-happiness factor of the charitable giving aspect just makes love multiply.

There’s even that moment in the live auction when you consider bidding on me. Yeah, me. But someone else scoops ya. Ah, well.
