Sample Sale

Sample Sale at Spun Sustainable Collective

From Little Black Dresses to eco-aprons: Seattle’s hardest working indie designers are on sale this Saturday.

By Laura Cassidy August 26, 2011

Where: Spun Sustainable Collective

What: Twenty to 90 percent off samples, past season pieces, and one-offs at Spun Sustainable Collective. Run and organized by Spun designer Sara Seumae, the collective is the Hill’s indie clothing co-op. You’ll find local designers such as Bri Seely, Joanna Morgan Cameron Levin, and Rocco e Dante. In other words: women’s, men’s, home decor, jewelry, and accessories.

And if you’re looking for a little good old feel-good inspiration, see if you can’t chat for a few minutes with Seumae. You gotta give it up for a gal who saw a need (wholesome clothing for her and her family), figured out how to fill it (ie: she had no previous design training), and then began the process all over again … That is: she also saw a need for other independent designers to connect with the public, and in launching the Collective, she made that happen, too.

When: Saturday, August 27 from 11 to 7. Cash and credit cards accepted; no refunds or exchanges.
