Sale: Metrode Vintage

Wonderfully current-feeling old stuff on sale from an old friend of an old friend.

A look from Metrode’s online shop.

Where: Gallery 1412, 1412 18th Ave, Seattle 98122

What: Remember when Last Waltz closed, and then former owner Cybele Phillips would pop up here and there to host vintage sales in the old space, and/or elsewhere? Those were, for many a well-dressed Seattleite, the days. I haven’t heard much from Phillips in a while, but I recently ran into a gal named Caitlin who used to mind the shop for her from time to time.

Birds of a feather and all that … After some time doing an online vintage shop called Metrode, the collector is hosting a real-world vintage sale not in the old Last Waltz space, but next door, at Gallery 1412.

Here’s a virtual postcard for the brick-and-mortar event on Metrode’s blog.

If minimal, textural, earthy, and boxy but feminine is how you like your gently used past-era fashion and lifestyle accouterments, you should seriously consider stopping by the sale.

When: Saturday, May 21 from 11 to 3
