SLIDESHOW: Cynthia Rowley and the art of fashion. Here, the American designer takes a bow after her Fall 2008 runway show. The set was inspired by artist Kara Walker’s cut-outs.
The finale at Cynthia Rowley’s Fall 2011 show, in which models appeared on the runway in various stages of undress. Rowley collaborated with artist Ryan McNamara for this presentation; together they came up with this concept as a means of literally undressing the fashion show process.
In February 2010, after showing her Fall presentation during New York Fashion Week, American designer Cynthia Rowley headed to the Gagosian Shop on Madison Avenue (on of the city’s artiest and toniest art enterprises) where a ‘Cynthia Rowley for Gagosian’ collection was being debuted.
