UPDATED 2/1/11 Trunk Shows: Jil Sander, Chanel, and More
Slideshow: Upcoming spring 11 trunk shows of note at Nordstrom include Jil Sander, the Raf Simmons-designed collection that editors and bloggers everywhere are swooning over. Perhaps the approachable, democratic T-shirt-and-ball-gown-skirt trend will help convince you to take the retailer up on the opportunity to inspect this stuff up close.
Here’s hoping this Jil Sander look makes it to Seattle, at least for the trunk show. It’s one of my personal favorites.

There’s really no substitute for seeing a Chanel production in person, but new innovations in tweed, leather, and wedge heels by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel will be at Nordstrom on Feb. 8

I love being able to see, up close, how runway pieces work. As great as all the online slideshows are, dresses like this one by Naeem Khan are completely different animals when they’re in your hand.
Just seeing the prints in person is a boon.
