Runway: Third Annual Seattle Vintage Fashion Show

By Laura Cassidy November 19, 2010

Where: Ballard Oddfellows Building; 1706 NW Market Street, Seattle, WA 98107

What: The roaring ’20s, the somber (but beautiful) ’30s, the war years: All of it comes alive during the Seattle Vintage Fashion Show.

Organizer Lorraine O’Neal invokes Madame Chanel when explaining the idea behind the show: the designer’s designer famously said, ‘Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.’ Each year, O’Neal gathers up her extensive collection of 70+-year old garments and aims to look at fashion through the lens of history. And dance and music. The show is in conjunction with the swing dance mania that is the Killer Diller Weekend.

When: Saturday December 4 from 7 to 8:30. Tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets.
