If you’re conjuring the aroma of Sweet-Tarts and mini Snickers, you’re on the wrong blog.

Over here it’s orange marigold, anise, dark chocolate, Indonesian incense, and vanilla.

Or, I should say, over there, at Knows Perfume in West Seattle.

This time of year — and actually, at the full moon — it’s all about the cult classic LA-based fragrance line Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. Knows owner Christen Cottam is one of brave handful who carry the darkly sexy scents; she even follows the mother ship in staging full moon parties when new blends are released.
