There’s nothing worse than hearing about a great time and knowing that you could’ve, should’ve, would’ve been there if you had known.

Launching next week: Shop Talk, my wedding and style newsletter. With it in your inbox every week, you’ll never miss another grand affair again.

Now, I do hate to have to make this point so beautifully and brutally, but today’s slideshow takes you through the recent Luxe Wedding Design artisan party at the fabulous Georgetown Ballroom and illustrates exactly why you need to know about these events.

To soften the blow, I want to clue you into another soiree. On Thursday, February 25, you’re invited to the Pan Pacific Hotel to mingle with wedding pros like Pink Blossom Events, photographer Barbie Hull, Aria Style, Bamboo Beats, Bella Cupcake Couture, Edit 1 Media, and La Belle Elaine’s Bridal.

From 5:30 to 8:30, you’ll enjoy cocktails, appetizers, and a semi-private audience with some of Seattle’s favorite event vendors. With all these folks in one gorgeous ceremony and reception venue, you can ask about their services, their experience, their inspiration, and their newest ideas without having to book appointments and run here and there to do so.

It’s free, it’ll be fun, and it’s an extremely efficient way to "shop" for your wedding team. These boutique wedding shows and curated events are the industry’s fresh, hip, innovative alternative to bigger shows that can sometimes be overwhelming and impersonal. And you know what else? All these folks in the business of throwing parties, well, they like to party, too.

So join them - us - for an evening of getting things done while having a really nice time.
