Based on my calculations, there are 12 days out of each 365 when candy apple red, icicle silver, and Corvette gold look just-so on your nails, and you’re smack dab in the middle of them.

From December 20 to January 2, those colors - and the ones pictured here from Julep’s holiday collection - just sort of work.

They’re harder (impossible?) to pull off at any other time of the year, which feels like a window (bedecked in sparkling white holiday lights) of opportunity to me.
