Okay folks, there is A LOT going on this weekend — and, who are we fooling, all month — so get ready for it.

Allow me to first bring your attention to the Boutique Culture sale going down at the Hyatt at Olive 8 (do try to fit in a spa treatment while you’re there, eh?) this Sunday. These blow-outs have become part of Seattle’s recession-era retail landscape; shops like Asher Anson, Moksha, Totokaelo + Impulse bring past season goods at deep, crazy savings while you party like it’s, well, 2009.

The twist this time around is a clothing swap … Yeah. These kinds of things are as good as those that participate in them – so if you’re interested, your best bet is to mine your closet for the best of what’s just not working for you anymore (see the note in this link about what’s swapable and what’s not) and hope that others are doing the same with their cared-for, top-quality best.

The games begin at 9a.m. with a VIP pre-public session sponsored by our pal Adam from Le 21eme Arrondissement; for $10 you get to peruse the sale goods with less competition, and perhaps catch the eye of Seattle’s premier street style photographer.
