If you’re following the s/s 2010 shows, you know that come March, you won’t be able to leave the house without strategically cut-out triangular shapes around your shoulder region (naturally, Maria Cornejo provides the best examples) but the title here refers to accessories. Two local designers are using graphic and industrial design backgrounds and laser cut techniques to create bracelets, earrings, and necklaces in pop-inspired and supernatural shapes.

Andrea Bijou’s line is called Bijoudally; the writer/graphic designer/artist uses leather and precious metals to craft bold, poppy, cheerful pieces that are sold locally at La Rousse and the Frock Shop as well as on her site.

Laser Nature is a Free Time Industries project; the industrial designer and artist sketches natural elements then transfers them to wood with a 650 watt CO2 laser. Whoa. The delicate yet earthy pieces are available via their site as well as at Gossamer Collective.
