Kimberly Carney recently carted all the men’s stuff out of Jaxx, her formerly co-ed (just barely) Eastlake boutique, and opened Aficionado across the hall.

The space is large, lofty, black, and very, very male.

Currently, her favorite piece is tailored, white, and also very, very male.

Although it’s easy to imagine the girl who’d lift this military-inspired William Rast jacket from her man’s closet and put it on over a ribbed tank top and jeans, it’s all dude - Top Gun nostalgia and the cigar porch with the guys at this summer’s best wedding reception. It really, really wants to be worn by a guy who has B-10 Bombers for biceps.

(This might be a good time to remind you that William Rast is the co-ed — just barely — line recently launched by childhood buddies Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala.)

Kimberly’s favorite thing is shown here over a gray William Rast button-down but I think I’d put it with a crisp shirt in the palest pink.
