Trish McEvoy, she of the luxuriously sweet blackberry-and-vanilla musk scent and those small, stylish Trapper Keeper-esque make-up flip books in which you file your cheek color and base tones as you did your math homework and history hand-outs, built a make-up empire on the idea that science is beauty and beauty requires order. It doesn’t hurt that her husband is among New York’s favored elite dermatologists; together they buff, beautify, shine, and de-shine in posh quarters on Fifth Avenue.
