So, I was thinking: If you skip mid-morning lattes and after-work drinks, and if you pack a bowl of spicy rice and beans instead of buying sandwiches and chips for lunch, you could find yourself with darn near 50 bucks or so to add to your sunny day fund.

I probably don’t need to remind you that this weekend is when that sunny day fund is gonna see the light of day.

As previously discussed, the A Mano, Impulse-Totokaelo, Finerie, Jack Straw, Polite Society sale is this Saturday from 11a.m. to 5p.m. at 1113 1st Ave (in the now-vacant space next to A Mano).

It’s going to be epic.

News of another sale, on the other side of the swimming hole, hit me yesterday. Posh on Main, where the well-heeled become even more elegantly heeled, and La Ree, that little bumblebee of a dress shop that pulls even Ballardites across the floating bridge, are pooling their sale merch and practically throwing a party over it. For two days.

From 10a.m. to 6p.m. on Saturday, and from 12p.m. to 5p.m. on Sunday, at the Eastside store’s regular locations, you’ll be scoring deep deals on last season’s goodies.
