Gather, the Columbia City gallery known for sneaking a little commerce in with its art (we touted the vibrant, locally blown artisan glassware pictured here in our holiday shopping feature) is closing so that Jenn Jones (her card reads ‘Visionary’ — note to self: get a new title) can readjust her life. A closing show begins this Saturday — with a party, and bands — at 6p.m. and will feature the work of Brian Pike.

So what’ll become of this little chunk of Park Slope, Brooklyn right here in Seattle? Gather is going to reopen as … Gather. The new visionary will deal in consigned womens’ fashion and small furniture.
