Weekend Warriors

Stimulation savings at Pulp Lab, Saturday and Sunday

February 19, 2009

The super-awesome indie-specialists/mixed-use pioneers at Pulp Lab are having a two-day blow-out sale this weekend, including but not limited to the last of Annie Sparrow’s merchandise from the sadly shuttered Tulip.

Among the innovative and mostly green Pulp discounted offerings are pieces by eco-engineer Linda Loudermilk New York’s Laura Dawson, and men’s staples from the all-organic enterprise Loomstate.

There was a time not that long ago (like, day before yesterday) when it wasn’t possible to mention a sale like this. There were just too many of them. But I wanted to let you know about this one in part because those once ubiquitous sale signs are becoming fewer and further between. That’s great, because it means that new spring merchandise is making it possible for retailers to go back to full-price. I know you love paying half-price, but you love a healthy economy and a city full of stylish shops even more. Right? right. Sales are a part of that healthy economy for sure, but so are fair market prices for quality materials, intelligent design, and meaningful craftsmanship.

So anyway, like I was saying, the sale goes from 11a.m. to 5p.m. both days. See you there.
