Skagit Valley in Bloom: Revel in the Colors of North America's Premier Tulip Festival

Experience the Largest Tulip Festival in North America
Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, April 1-30, 2024
Every April, Washington’s Skagit Valley blossoms into a rainbow of extraordinary color as millions of tulips burst into bloom. Endless rows of flowers color the valley’s fields with over 200 acres of tulips – a breathtaking sight that brings nature lovers from all over the world to this special section of the Pacific Northwest.
For more than 40 years, the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival has showcased the area’s tulips, gardens, events, and attractions to treat visitors to a visual experience like no other. The Tulip Festival is ticket-free but each garden operates independently and charges admission for entry. Visitors can purchase tickets in advance online or in person at the gardens.

The Festival also offers a digital Tulip Festival Guide which features opportunities and experiences beyond the flowers such as events, guided tours, favorite restaurants and more, most offering special discounts.
So when’s the best time to visit? The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival runs from April 1-30, but the tulips bloom according to the weather – which is determined by Mother Nature. In some years the color first appears in March while in others it can last into May. Fortunately, the growers plant early-, mid-, and late-blooming tulip varieties so there’s always color to enjoy. To check bloom status and learn more, visit TulipFestival.org and plan your visit to the 2024 Skagit Valley Tulip Festival this spring. Remember: the tulips will only bloom for a limited time – but the memories you make will last forever! And so will the images you capture.
