Tomorrow’s Sound Starts Now

Three nights showcasing the best young artists in the NW music scene

Presented by MoPOP February 12, 2024

New Scene. New Sound. Get In. The Museum of Pop Culture’s (MoPOP) Sound Off! Showcase class of 2024 is here! Now’s your chance to witness the next big thing in NW music as three Saturdays in a row (February 17th, February 24th, and March 2nd) young artists from around the region take to the Sky Church stage for a night of hearts, guts, and glory.

Sound Off! is the Pacific Northwest’s legacy under-21 music showcase, connecting young artists with the tools and resources to dig into their sound, grow their business skills, and level up their artistry. Alums have gone on to perform at major regional events such as Bumbershoot and NW Folklife and hit the stage at storied venues like Neumo’s and The Showbox. They’ve signed record contracts, gone on tours, and earned devoted fan communities stretching far beyond our region. Simply put, they’ve become stars. And this year, we’re cranking the volume up to 11.

Sound Off! is more than a classic battle of the bands: the program focuses its efforts on artist development and growth. Every musician has to start somewhere, and young artists hoping to enter the music scene are faced with the daunting tasks of developing their own creative identity and technical skills while navigating the vast and complex music industry alone. That’s why Sound Off! participants receive year-round professional mentoring to guide them through the ins and outs of the industry, gathering insider knowledge, valuable community contacts, and life-changing experiences as they gear up to show the world exactly what they have to say. Then, they unleash it all with a fully realized live performance at MoPOP’s world-class venue, complete with light show, tech crew, and hordes of screaming fans.

Tomorrow’s biggest artists are already grabbing the mic with MoPOP’s Sound Off! Showcase—will you be there to witness it? Tickets are on sale now, so head over to MoPOP.org to see the lineup and get your backstage pass to tomorrow’s sound.
