As you walk up the steps in front of LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington and take in the vast structure and grand entrance of the building, you will quickly start to notice the resemblance to that of a hood scoop you would see on that of a vintage Ford Mustang. Once inside, you will find yourself surrounded by more than 300 vehicles, carefully curated over the span of 4 floors, and 165,000 square feet. The distinctive architectural design of the facility, which is spearheaded by its massive, curved beams of timber that line the interior ceiling, looming more than 100 feet above the distinguished Showcase Gallery exhibit space, will leave you speechless.

You will be taking an adventure through history, as you experience hand crafted, coach-built cars of the roaring twenties and extravagant, robust Cadillacs of the fabulous ‘50s. See Route 66 in its heyday and the muscle cars that drove it, experience the birth of NASCAR, encounter a variety of European imports, and even get a look at how cars of the future might be driven with alternative fuel sources.
