If you’re looking for something a little different for your next getaway, The Vintages Trailer Resort should be at the top of your list – it’s certainly at the top of ours. This unique property specializing in the quintessential glamping experience is located in the heart of Oregon’s famed Willamette Valley. While it might be just shy of a four-hour drive from Seattle, you can consider the road trip as part of the fun. Cue “99 bottles of beer on the wall”.

Once you arrive at The Vintages, you’re greeted by a classic neon sign setting the tone for what’s to come. As you drive into the resort, you’ll find 36 fully restored and new custom-fabricated trailers situated on a tree-lined, twinkle-lit street appropriately named Pinot Lane. The trailers vary in color, some are a sparkling chrome and others are bright pops of color like mint green or electric red. Each one comes complete with Adirondack chairs, outdoor grills, and cruiser bikes for maximizing those warmer days in addition to fresh pour-over coffee and comfy robes. There’s also an on-site General Store stocked with local goods and libations, a seasonal pool, and Fireside -- a communal area with fire pits and lounge seating ideal for cozying up with a glass of wine.

To enhance your experience of the property’s nostalgic theme, treat yourself to an add-on package. They offer a few playful options, but their best-sellers include: The Little Campfire Kit, which comes with artisanal s’mores from Portland-based 1927 S’mores, a bottle of Pinot Noir, and a personal fire pit; and Flock It to Me, which comes with pink lawn flamingos flocked at your trailer upon arrival and a champagne Shirley Temple kit.

After some trailer-side lounging, with or without fire pits or flamingos, there’s plenty of exploring to do. With The Vintages’ prime location in the valley, there are dozens of wineries and restaurants nearby, like Winter’s Hill Estate and Red Hills Market. If you need any recommendations, their knowledgeable team always knows of just the place
