OSKA Seattle Debuts its Spring Collection

Seattle’s most-sophisticated, effortlessly chic women turn to German design house OSKA for its clear, simple shapes inspired by Asian silhouettes and subtle but unique detailing using ruching, darts, and asymmetrical lines. Add to that luxe materials with ease of movement, and it’s unrivaled in both style and comfort.
As we slip into spring, the Seattle OSKA store is introducing new styles in colors such as denim, yellow, gold, fuchsia, pink, white, and aloe, as well as pieces—from dresses to jackets—with delicate, Japanese ceramic–inspired prints. One-of-a-kind pigments used in the garment-dyeing process result in diffuse, natural tones and luminous colors, and colors are thoughtfully selected so that all of the separates harmonize beautifully with each other.
As with every OSKA piece, shape is key. Trousers, in particular, will be highlighted this season, with their rounded, O-shape, high-waisted “Brinda” pant at the forefront of the collection, along with the H-shape, cropped, wide-legged “Banu.” Both will come in the flexible, easy-to-care-for fabrics the line is synonymous with (90-95 percent hand-washable)—including Irish and Italian linen, sheeted cotton, and their signature Sensitive Fabrics, ultra-thin knits that feature breathability, softness on the skin, and sun protection.
Lori Fenton, manager and buyer for the Seattle OSKA store, is excited to debut the new collection and says it is not the same as what you’d find at another OSKA location in, say, Beverly Hills or New York City. Here in Seattle, subtle prints and more natural colors are favored, Fenton explains, and black and gray will still be available. Also of note, in late April the store will sell 140 pieces of last spring’s best-selling linen styles in this season’s colors—so it’s a great chance to revamp your wardrobe for the warmer weather with updated perennial favorites.
More than just retailers, OSKA sales associates consider themselves style coaches and will help you dress as an individual. You can book an appointment, or just stop in and receive guidance on developing—or fine-tuning—your personal sense of style.
Upcoming events at the store include the Dress for Success Seattle/Spring Refresh on April 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. Come with an item to donate to Dress for Success, an organization that provides gently used clothing for women in need to help jump-start their careers, and receive 10 percent off all purchases. OSKA will also give 10 percent of its sales to the organization. On May 19, from 2 to 4 p.m., the Lovely Linen Event gives customers the opportunity to see (and feel) firsthand what makes OSKA linens so special, to check out the collection’s new shapes and colors, and to learn expert styling tips. Light refreshments will be served at both events. RSVP at 206-209-5401, or email them at seattle.oska.com.
OSKA Seattle is located at 1322 Fifth Avenue. You can also shop the collection online here.
