Seattle mayoral candidate and state Sen. Ed Murray (D-43) has raised a rather stunning amount—nearly $104,000—in the two weeks between the end of the regular legislative session on April 28 and the beginning of the special session, his campaign reports. (As a state legislator, Murray is barred from raising money during the legislative session, making the two weeks between April 28 and today a mad dash for dollars.)

Murray's early-May haul brings his total raised to $219,622, including the more than $117,000 he raised between his early-December announcement of his candidacy and the start of the regular session nine days later. 

Including May, Murray is now in second place in total funds raised, behind Tim Burgess, who has raised $231,979—who has been raising non-stop since he declared late last year.

At the end of last month, Murray had $55,302 cash on hand. Although the campaign won't disclose any specific expenditure figures until June (we've asked), he ended up last month with less on hand than either Burgess ($100,249 on hand at the end of April) and McGinn ($104,785 on hand). He's  on par with Harrell ($55,907 on hand). 

Murray's campaign consultant Sandeep Kaushik demurred when we asked if he'd give us a list of the 515 contributors who he says gave this month, naming just a handful, including former state Rep. Mary Lou Dickerson (D-36), Tutta Bella pizza chain owner Joe Fugere, and Washington United for Marriage board chair Lacey All.
