My Life in Google
Former NWFF program director Adam Sekuler (who spoke to PubliCola about his Facebook name policy activism a couple months back) presents his short film, My Life in Google, which uses Google Earth, Google Street View, and Google Maps to create a personal memoir film and live performance.
Mixing footage with music and sounds sampled from the web, Sekuler examines themes of memory, nostalgia, and technology. Be sure to stick around for an audience-filmmaker conversation at the end.
‘My Life in Google’ Screening, Mon, July 27, 8pm, Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Avenue, $8
