Perfecting Chambers Bay for the U.S. Open

Here’s how a preeminent design firm reshaped one hole to prep for golf’s Super Bowl.

After Chambers Bay opened in 2007, three golf magazines named it one of the best new courses of the year, and Travel and Leisure Golf named it the best. But there’s always room for improvement. So to prep for the 2015 U.S. Open, four holes were refined. Here’s how one of them was perfected.
