Climate Change, What's the Solution?
The first 40 minutes of Bastyr University's free evening panel discussion is going to be spent debating whether or not we humans are the root cause of global warming. But since the evidence of climate change is, despite certain parties' efforts, irrefutable, the majority of the discussion will revolve around what to do about global warming, not what caused it.
Four expert panelists from different industries will present four possible solutions to the looming problem: new technology, market solutions, play damage control, and social change.
Climate Change, What's the Solution?, Wed, Nov 12, 6–8:30pm, Bastyr University Auditorium, 14500 Juanita Dr NE, Free

Light Rail Community Meeting
Even though the massive Link construction project along Broadway feels like it's been there since the Bush administration, and seems as though it'll simply become part of the urban landscape, light rail is coming, people. And once it does (still shooting for 2016), both the Capitol Hill and UW neighborhoods are going to change in significant ways.
Sound Transit wants to prep the community for this change, and give people a chance to voice their concerns, by holding a series of community conversations throughout November. These sessions are an opportunity to provide input on how the new light rail extensions can best integrate into the community and conduct service.
Light Rail Community Meeting, Mon, Nov 17, 12pm, Seattle University Student Center - Room 160, 901 12th Ave, Free
