The Six Must-Watch Seahawks Games

Green Bay Packers @ Seahawks
To say the Packers want revenge after their last trip to CenturyLink Field would be an understatement. Thanks to a blown call by the replacement refs on that last-second, Russell Wilson–to–Golden Tate touchdown strike, the Seahawks stole the infamous “Fail Mary” game on national television in week three of the 2012 season. Even without the added motivation, taking down All-Pro QB Aaron Rodgers in the season opener will not be an easy task. NBC

Denver Broncos @ Seahawks
Speaking of revenge games, future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning and the Broncos will be licking their chops for another shot at the Hawks after being embarrassed in Super Bowl XLVIII. And thanks to key off-season acquisitions like pass rusher DeMarcus Ware, the Broncos will do their best to make Russell Wilson miserable and reverse last February’s result. CBS

Arizona Cardinals @ Seahawks
Last year the Cardinals did the unthinkable, silencing the 12th Man and handing the Hawks their only loss at home. Arizona’s stout defense held the Seahawks under 200 yards of total offense that day—nearly 150 yards under their average all season—so expect the fans to really bring the noise in an effort to will Marshawn Lynch and company away from a repeat performance. Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers
The Seahawks and 49ers aren’t just the two best teams in the NFC West; they’re arguably the two best teams in football. And their knockdown, drag-out rivalry reignites for 2014 in what should be the biggest game of the year for the Seahawks. Here’s the routine for the past two regular seasons: The Hawks crush the 49ers in Seattle and lose close in San Francisco. So stealing the road game would give Seattle a commanding edge in the division. NBC

Seahawks @ Philadelphia Eagles
Richard Sherman and the rest of the Seahawks’ standout pass defense face a real test when they visit the NFC East champion Eagles. Last season Philly’s Nick Foles put up the highest passer rating in the NFL (119.2) while throwing 27 touchdowns and—amazingly—only two interceptions. Huskies fans would also love to humiliate current Eagles coach (and former Oregon coach) Chip Kelly for all the times his Ducks tormented UW. FOX

San Francisco 49ers @ Seahawks
The Seahawks conclude a brutal three-game stretch at home against San Fran, in a tilt that could very well decide the NFC West. If either team were able to sweep the season series, it’s hard to picture them not winning the division. Plus another blowout home win versus the Niners would build momentum as the Hawks eye a second Super Bowl win. FOX
