Get a head start on Independence Day at Benaroya Hall's free Star Spangled Spectacular concert, featuring soloists, singalongs, and the Seattle Wind Symphony.

Mayoral Forum: Livable Streets

Eight of the nine candidates for mayor will outline their plans for making Seattle's streets walkable, bikeable, and transit- and neighborhood-friendly at this forum sponsored by a long list of Seattle neighborhood, parks, and transportation groups.

Labor and economic experts, including UC Berkeley Labor Center director Ken Jacobs and National Employment Law Project co-director will discuss recent changes in employment trends, income inequality, the slow economic recovery for low-wage workers, and how Seattle can adapt to an unstable economy. This is the second in Town Hall's Reclaiming Prosperity series.
