 Today's picks for civic nerds.

For Saturday

The Future of Our Planet

Take a brave look into the future of our warming planet at the Seattle Science Festival. The last night of the festival features two of the world's top experts on climate change, Kevin Trenberth and Richard Alley, along with award-winning New York Times climate journalist and blogger Andrew Revkin.

Seattle Science Festival Closing Night, June 15, 7:30 pm. Seattle Repertory Theatre, 155 Mercer St, general admission $30; premium admission $60; students (with ID), $15

For Tomorrow

A Green Birthday

Seattle Greendrinks is celebrating its tenth year, and you're invited. The local nonprofit has worked for the past decade to connect the environmental community in Seattle through events and monthly meetups. Come celebrate their birthday bash with food, drink, and a silent (headphone) disco dance party—with prizes for best-dressed—at the Sustainableworks Warehouse. The party will also include a thrift shop costume contest judged by Seattle's mayor Mike McGinn, with prizes for best-dressed.

Seattle Greendrinks Birthday Celebration, Fri June 14, 5:30-9pm, Sustainableworks Warehouse, 4000 Airport Way S, free.

And For Today

The Future of Bike Lanes

Weigh in on the latest draft of the city's Bike Master Plan and learn more about its development and implementation. The presentation at the Roosevelt High School will give the public a look at a citywide map of potential bike facilities.

Help Shape the Future of Bicycling, Thurs, June 13, 6-7:30pm, Roosevelt High School, 1410 NE 66th St, free.
