A Safer Seattle
The upcoming Citywide Precinct Advisory Council's Mayoral Candidate Forum on Public Safety will focus on each of the nine candidates' plans for making Seattle's streets and neighborhoods a safer place.
Seattle City Councilmembers Tom Rasmussen and Tim Burgess (a former candidate) will cohost, with Brian Callanan of the Seattle Channel as the forum moderator.

Rocking with Redhook
The Fremont Fair is much more than bicycling in the buff– in addition to the famous naked bike ride, the weekend celebrates the artistic, fun-loving, quirky side of Fremont with local band performances, shopping, arts and crafts, food and drink, and a 5k run.
There's no better place to kick-off summer in Seattle than in the Center of the Universe.
Start out at the Friday Night Pre-Party before the morning of Solstice. The pre-party features a lineup of local bands– The Fabulous Party Boys, Skablins, Cumbieros, Longstride, and Publish the Quest– and a bevvy of local beers provided by Woodinville's Redhook Brewery to kick off to Saturday morning's Solstice Parade.

Radical Women, a socialist, feminist, grassroots activist organization, will host a screening of The Edge of Heaven, which follows the story of four Turks and two Germans, including a multi-ethnic lesbian couple faced with the challenges of nationality and political instability in their respective countries.
