The City Council's Planning, Land Use, and Sustainability Committee holds a second public hearing about the city's proposal to upzone land in South Lake Union Urban. Come to learn and voice your concerns (or praise), or just watch the fireworks.

Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles' Post-Election Event

An annual bash since 1993, this evening is part silent auction and part panel discussion on the election results—with a focus on their implications for the 2013 Legislative Session.

Harborview Nurses Picket for Patient Care

Join Harborview nurses and health care workers for a picket demanding that the Harborview medical center provide adequate pahealth care staffing for its patients; currently, SEIU 775 says, the hospital requires health care workers to do double duty so coworkers can take needed breaks.
