PARK(ing) Day

Check out more than a dozen parking spots around downtown that will be temporarily transformed into miniature parks all day tomorrow, part of an effort to raise awareness about how urban space is allocated and how much of our shared public space is used by cars. Most PARK(ing) Day parks are in and around downtown Seattle.

Love, Sex and Marriage Luncheon with Cynthia Nixon

Join "Sex and the City"'s Cynthia Nixon at a Planned Parenthood Votes and Washington United for Marriage fundraiser to help both groups during a time of unprecedented recent opposition to safe birth control and abortion and marriage equality. Nixon  (who played Miranda, as if you didn't know) married her longtime girlfriend last spring.
