The Roosevelt High School Jazz band, a face painter and Sound Transit’s traffic fighting superhero Zap Gridlock will all be making appearances to celebrate the groundbreaking for the extension of underground light rail to Northgate.

Sunset Supper at Pike Place Market
Rather than sampling jalapeno jelly off a wooden spoon or choking down uncooked pieces of chocolate spaghetti, Pike Place Market goers on Friday will have the chance to sample some of the Northwest’s best food and wines. Go ahead, try everything. All proceeds go toward the Pike Place Market Foundation and the Market’s human service agencies for low-income elderly residents in downtown Seattle.
