By Derek Tsang August 20, 2012

Tomorrow’s PubliCalendar picks for political and civic nerds.

Workshop: Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinance

The city of Seattle’s new ordinance requiring employers to provide paid sick and safe leave goes live in September. Tuesday’s workshop  -- the second of four – at Swedish Medical Center’s Ballard Campus will go over what workers and employers need to know, and answer any questions they might have.

Workshop: Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinance, Tuesday, August 21, 12-2pm, Ballard Campus Swedish Medical Center, 5300 Tallman Ave NW, Free.

Mariners v. Indians (T-shirt Promotion)

It shouldn’t be news to anybody that the Mariners’ Felix Hernandez tossed the first perfect game in franchise history his last time on the mound. It might be news to some, though, that the Mariners are handing out 34,000 commemorative shirts to fans at Tuesday’s game – Felix’s first start since his perfect game – to honor his historic performance.

Mariners v. Indians, Tuesday, August 21, 7:10pm, Safeco Field, 1250 1st Ave S.
