Tomorrow's PubliCal picks for political nerds:

OneAmerica info forum for undocumented young immigrants.

The immigrant advocacy group OneAmerica is hosting a forum to answer questions about President Obama's recent—frankly, badass—executive order that many undocumented youth would not be deported, and in fact, would be granted work permits.

Basically, Obama unilaterally instituted the conceptual framework of the  DREAM Act, which aims to put undocumented kids on a path toward citizenship.

The experts at OneAmerica will explain to "DREAMers" who's eligible and how to apply.

OneAmerica Town Hall for Dreamers, Redmond Public Library, 15990 NE 85th St. 98052 6pm, Thursday, August 2

Sound Transit Public Hearing

Also on Thursday: Sound Transit is holding a public hearing on its current plans to execute 2008's voter-approved light rail plan over the next five years.

Sound Transit public hearing, Thursday, August 2, 2012, 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Ruth Fisher Boardroom, 401 S. Jackson Street

And don’t forget our PubliCola picks for today:

Dow Constantine hosts Environmental Champions for Maureen Judge

King County Executive Dow Constantine invites the public to join state senators and representatives in supporting Maureen Judge, a Democratic candidate who’s running against Republican state Sen. Steve Litzow (R-41).

While Litzow gained some support from moderate Democrats for voting for Sen Ed Murray’s (D-43) bill legalizing gay marriage in Washington State, he lost other backers, including NARAL Pro-Choice Washington, when he voted against a pro-choice bill that would have required companies that pay for maternity care to also cover abortions.

Join the event on Facebook  or RSVP to Carli DeCaro, [email protected], 206-766-0510.

Wednesday, August 1st, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, O’Asian, 800 5th Ave. Donations requested, from $50 to $500.

Supreme Court Candidate Forum

Also today, Seattle University's School of Law is hosting a candidate forum featuring all the candidates in this year's race for state Supreme Court.

Law school Dean Mark C. Niles moderates.

Wednesday, August 1 , 5:30-8:30 PM, Seattle University School of Law, Sullivan Hall, 901 12th Ave., Room C-5
