Rocks Thrown Through Windows at McGinn's Home

By Josh Feit May 2, 2012

According to someone with direct knowledge of the incident, at about Midnight last night two rocks were thrown through the dining room window and living room window at Mayor Mike McGinn's home at Dayton and 87th in Greenwood.

No one was hurt.

McGinn's wife called 911 and police and McGinn's security arrived.

The mayor's office would not comment when PubliCola asked if there were any arrests or suspects. We have a call in to the SPD.

UPDATE: The police report says the mayor's wife was startled by the sound of shattering glass at 12:35 AM last night and found a rock lying inside on the floor with  broken glass beneath a shattered window on the west side of her house. When she looked outside she saw two people on the street and one of them waved and then both suspects walked away.

One of the suspects is identified in the report as a 40-year-old white male.

The police found two other rocks outside beneath another window that had been broken in the house. The rocks were taken in as evidence. Police dogs searched the area for the suspects, but came up empty.
