Stabbing In Seward Park; Fireworks or Gunshots?

Today in Fuzz: Stabbing in Seward Park; cab robbers caught; fireworks or gunshots?

1) Police say a man was repeatedly stabbed in the head in an attack in Seward Park Tuesday afternoon.

Officers found the man—who is in his 30s—lying in the street near 50th Ave. S. and S. Hudson St.  around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon. The man been stabbed in the head eight times, according to a fire department spokesman, and was in stable condition following the incident.

The man only gave police a vague description of the suspect.

2) Good news for Seattle's cabbies: police have tracked down two men suspected of robbing cab drivers in SoDo earlier this month.

Robbery detectives arrested one of the men in south Seattle last night, and learned that a man suspected in another robbery was already in police custody in Snohomish County for an unrelated case.

3) I've had a couple people ask if I know anything about a round of gunfire in the Columbia City/Seward Park (49th and Dawson-ish) area late Sunday night. After poking around a bit, it sounds like that pop-pop-popping some folks heard was was (probably) just fireworks related to Chinese New Year.  Gong xi fa tsai!
