Masked Men Invade North End Home

By Josh Feit September 6, 2011

Seattle Police Department robbery detectives are investigating yet another violent home invasion robbery after four masked men kicked in the door to a Lake City apartment home at NE 140th 35th NE and attacked several residents last week.

According to police records, shortly after one tenant returned home from the nearby Fred Meyer around 9:00 p.m. on September 1st, four men wearing bandannas—armed with a gun and a knife—burst through the front door of the house and ordered one tenant onto the ground.

The masked men punched and kicked several tenants, and fled with $280 in cash, a GPS unit, a cellphone, a laptop, a checkbook, a suitcase containing a passport and social security card, and the keys to one tenant's truck.

Police called in a K9 unit to track the suspects and found 5 bandannas and a hat laying on the ground on 36th Ave NE. Police also recovered $100 bill near the scene.

A department source says the suspects may have targeted the home after they saw one of the victims using a $100 bill at the Fred Meyer and followed him home.
