The Latest Election Results
Here are the latest election results, posted this afternoon at 4:00. Just over 254,000 out of an estimated 1.08 million registered voters' ballots have been counted so far, compared to just over 208,000 last night. No major changes to report: Generally (with the exception of King County Council District 6 representative Jane Hague, whose numbers went down a little), incumbents inched up their percentages slightly, the veterans levy is now winning with nearly 68 percent; and
In Hague's race, challenger Richard Mitchell increased his lead over third-place challenger (and Port Commissioner) John Creighton, from 27.87-25.15 to 29.06-24.64. The pro-tunnel campaign now has 59.42 percent of the vote, compared to 59.66 last night, and the anti-tunnel campaign has 40.58 compared to 40.34 last night.
