Suspect At Large Following Stabbing In Greenwood Neighborhood

By Josh Feit August 31, 2011

A man was taken to Harborview Wednesday night following a stabbing in the Greenwood neighborhood.

The man, who is in his 30s, was stabbed in the back at 97th and Greenwood just before 10:00 p.m. by a suspect who fled the scene in a white Ford Explorer.

Police say the suspect is "at large," but it appears they know the man's street nickname, and may know where he lives.

It's not yet clear what led to the stabbing.

Update 8:15 AM: Police tells us the suspect in the stabbing—who, according to police, goes by the street name "Droopy"—showed up at a woman's home in Greenwood last night and tried to force his way through the front door of the house.

A man in the home fought with the suspect, who reached through the front door of the home and slashed the man's face.

The suspect then got into a fight with a second man outside the home. The suspect stabbed the man in the back and fled.

Medics treated the first victim at the scene for his facial injuries, and took the second victim to Harborview. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
