Courtesy of the King County Council, which took a "ten-minute recess"... three and a half hours ago.

The sign outside council chambers indicates the change in plans:

Council members were scheduled to vote on a $20 two-year fee to preserve Metro transit service, which Republican council members Jane Hague and Kathy Lambert agreed
to support last week; however, fellow Republican Reagan Dunn has reportedly been pushing both Lambert and Hague to go back on the deal.

6:00 update: They're still at recess, with Joe McDermott, Larry Gossett, Bob Ferguson, Dunn, and Republican Pete von Reichbauer at their seats. Larry Phillips, Kathy Lambert, Jane Hague, and Julia Patterson are still behind closed doors. It's a good sign for transit supporters, perhaps, that Dunn and Von Reichbauer, the two council members most opposed to the Metro fee, aren't in the back-room negotiations.
