Campaign Fizz: Hippies for Harrell
Given that city council member Bruce Harrell's challenger, Brad Meacham, has been portraying himself as the environmental candidate in the race (for example: Meacham opposed the deep-bore tunnel; Harrell supported it), a couple of the contributions on Harrell's latest campaign-finance reports were kind of surprising: Josh Fogt, a former public policy manager for Northwest Harvest who now works for Harrell's lefty (and anti-tunnel) colleague Mike O'Brien, and Earth Day founder and philanthropist Denis Hayes, who co-wrote a widely distributed editorial for Sightline arguing against the tunnel.
Hayes and Fogt each gave Harrell $100.
