Weird Afternoon Fizz: "Council Candidate" Robbed?

In a police report from Friday night, an apparent victim of a gunpoint holdup in the Central District (19th and Cherry) banged on a woman's door, asked her to call 911, and told officers he was a candidate for Seattle City Council and that the robbers stole $985 in donations that he'd collected in the area—along with $40 in his wallet, a silver Timex watch, a silver bracelet, and a silver ring.
Candidates Maurice Classen, Michael Taylor-Judd, and Bradley Meacham have all told PubliCola they were not robbed. And Bobby Forch told the Central District news he was not the victim. Those are the leading male challengers running for City Council.
The alleged victim's claim is a bit odd: Candidates don't typically collect cash donations door to door late in the evening. The report is labeled "inactive." Three other male challengers running for City Council are: David Schraer, Dale Pusey and Fathi Karshie. None has reported raising any contributions so far.
Seattle Police Department spokesman Sean Whitcomb has not yet returned a call for comment on the strange report.
The report reads:
On 6-17-11 I was working with Officer Okruhlica as 3G11 for the Seattle Police Department. At approximately 2304 hours we responded to the 1 block of 23 AV for suspicious call. C/had a male knock on her door who asked her to call 911. We arrived shortly and contacted the male, V/at the corner of 23 AV and E Fir St. V/stated he had just been robbed at gun point 30 minutes earlier near 19 AV and E Cherry St. He stated he is running for city council and was collecting donations from homes in the area. He was walking near 19 AV and E Cherry St when 2 black males in their early 20's approached him. He described the first suspect as a light skin black male with a long pony tail. He was approximately 5-7, skinny build and wearing all black. The second suspect also had long hair in a ponytail. He had a red beanie or do-rag on his head, with a black shirt and black jeans. He was approximately 5-10 and medium build. As the males approached V/they pulled out a silver revolver and placed it into his stomach area. They demanded money and jewelry from V/. He gave then $985 in donations he had collected, a silver Timex watch, silver bracelet, silver ring, and a black Perry Ellis wallet with $40 in cash inside. They left running in an unknown direction. V/ left the area, stopped at 1 23 AV and asked C/ to call 911. He stated he would be able to recognize both suspects if he saw them again. He was provided with the incident number before we left the scene. An area check for the suspects was completed with negative results.
