Two men surprised a woman in her Columbia City home earlier this week and robbed her, according to police.
Just after midnight on June 13th, the woman was sitting in the living room of her home on 39th Ave S and S Dawson when she heard window blinds moving in a bedroom, a police report says.
The woman initially thought it was her boyfriend closing the blinds, and went to look, but didn't see anything in the room.
She went back out to the living room, but heard more noises coming from the bedroom.
The woman returned to the bedroom, where she was confronted by a man, who grabbed her, covered her eyes with his hands, and told her she would not be hurt if she stayed quiet.
The woman told police the man led her to the living room and opened the front door, where a second man was waiting.
The men told the woman to sit on the couch, while one of the suspects grabbed a 60" TV and a DVD player and left the house.
The other man walked the woman into a bathroom and had her kneel on the floor. He left the bathroom, closing the door behind him, and fled the home.
Officers weren't able to find any fingerprints, and the woman wasn't able to provide police with detailed descriptions of the suspects, which might explain why SPD has inactivated the case.
We'll see if we can find out more later today.
