No bank is safe!
On 05/02/11, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers received a 911 call from a nearby resident advising that a group of 4-5 suspects had smashed out the windows a bank located in the 4300 Brooklyn Ave NE. The suspects fled in a Red Dodge Neon. Upon arrival, officers noticed approx 6-9 of the front windows smashed, along with the both entries on the West and South sides. The South entry was completely smashed out and the interior doors were not locked.
Officers conducted a search of the bank with negative results. It was then realized that the bank alarm never tripped. The interior of the bank showed no signs that entry was ever made. During our investigation, a note was discovered on the sidewalk approx 30’ north of the South entryway.
