Seattle police are preparing to dig up the backyard of a South Seattle home this week after receiving a tip that a body might be buried in the yard, according to department sources.

Police surrounded the home—on S 51st and Rainier Ave S—with crime scene tape earlier today.

A department spokesman would only confirm that detectives were "following up" on a case, but would not provide further details about the investigation.
